Knowing the tools and running them under pressure are different skills. This is the field manual for the two highest-leverage features in The 15-Minute Zone Clean (ADHD Edition): the body-doubling timer for ordinary sessions, and the emergency tidy for guests-in-30-minutes situations.
Run a body-doubled 15-minute session
Body doubling means working while another person is present — physically or virtually. Their quiet activity anchors yours. Here is the protocol: first, pick one zone and announce it out loud ("bathroom, 15 minutes"). Second, start the timer and log the start time on the workbook's timer page. Third, work only in that zone until the timer ends — when a stray thought appears ("I should email…"), park it on the brain-dump page and keep moving. Fourth, log the finish and check the reward tracker.
No partner at home? A video call with a friend doing their own chores, a livestreamed "clean with me" video, even a coffee shop's background hum all count. The mechanism is perceived co-presence, not supervision — nobody needs to watch you.

Execute the emergency tidy when guests are coming
The emergency tidy is a pre-decided triage routine, and the key word is pre-decided. Before you ever need it, read the protocol and customize its sequence to your home: clear visible surfaces into one laundry basket, handle the bathroom guests will use, take out visible trash, quick floor pass, lights and scent. Write your version on the workbook page now, while calm.
When the text arrives ("be there in 30!"), you do not plan — you execute. Set the timer for the minutes you actually have, start at step one, and stop wherever you are when it rings. An executed partial triage beats a perfect plan that never starts, every single time.

Keep zones clean with daily resets
The session and the triage handle crises; the daily reset prevents them. Each day, spend one 15-minute block on whatever zone is next in rotation, using the checkpoint list (surfaces, floor, trash, one detail). Log it in the workbook. Skipped a day? Resume rotation where you left off — never "catch up" by doubling, because doubling rebuilds the dread the system exists to eliminate.
After two full rotations, most homes stabilize: sessions feel easy because there is simply less to fix. That is the system working, not a sign you can stop.
If you share the home, recruit — do not nag. Print one spare workbook page per person and assign zones by preference, not by fairness doctrine: the person who hates bathrooms takes the living room, and vice versa. Run one body-doubled session together weekly (same timer, different zones, shared reward after) so the system has a social heartbeat. For kids, shrink the box to five minutes and let them own the timer — being the timekeeper converts the chore into a role. Housemates who never signed up for your system will still comply with a visible rotation posted on the fridge, because specificity ("Maya: bins Tuesday") beats exhortation ("everyone clean more") every time.
How this book helps
The 15-Minute Zone Clean (ADHD Edition) (£7, instant download) gives you the complete printable kit: the 7-zone guide, timer log, emergency tidy protocol, brain-dump page, and reward tracker.
If you want the same 15-minute daily structure for your inner life, try the 21-Day Abundance Challenge — morning and evening prompts in the same brief-session format. And once the house runs itself, the Backyard Aquaponics Blueprint is a satisfying next project with the same checklist-driven DNA.
