“How Breach Range works — shoot a breach drill on a VR range, track it from your place and keep the score.”

Breach Range is an action shooter for a VR headset. You take your place on a shooting range and shoot a breach drill. The range is the space you can see, and your shots go towards your score.

This post explains what Breach Range is, how a drill works, and who it suits. It is coming soon on aeternusvita.io. You can get notified from the product page when it is ready.

What Breach Range is

Breach Range is an action shooter you play in a VR headset. The subtitle on the listing is "A VR breach shooting range".

You take your place on a shooting range and shoot a breach drill. The range is the space you can see. That range is the whole play space — the breach happens here, on this range, for the length of that drill. You track it from your place on the range.

It is made by aeternusvita.io.

The feature list from the Play copy states it plainly:

  • An action shooter in a VR headset
  • Shoot a breach drill on a range
  • The range is the space you play in
  • Hits add to a score for the drill
  • The result is saved after the drill

There is no separate map to learn first. You are on the range from the start. You look across the space you can see, and that space is where the drill takes place.

How a drill works

The drill is the session. When you start, you are on the range and the drill begins. When it ends, you get the result.

The Play description puts it in sequence: aim and fire, then read the range again. The breach happens here, on this range, for the length of that drill. You track it from your place on the range. Your score records how the drill went.

You aim and fire, you read the range again, and you keep going until the drill ends. Hits add to a score for the drill. The breach does not move you somewhere else — it happens on this range for the whole drill.

The range and how you aim

The range is the space you can see. The Play copy repeats that as "The range is the space you can see" and "The range is the space you play in".

You take your place on the range at the start. The brief and the Play copy both use that phrasing — you take your place, and you track the breach from that place. You do not move to a new area mid-drill. The action stays on this range for the whole drill.

The action is aim and fire. The range shows you where to look, and your shots go towards your score.

Scoring and saving

Hits add to a score for the drill. Your score records how the drill went, and when the drill ends the result is saved.

The listing does not describe a leaderboard. It says the result is saved after the drill, and that you can return to a score. In the words of the Play copy: "A range, a breach drill, and a score you can return to."

Each drill is self-contained. Your hits build the score for that drill, and at the end the result is saved.

How it feels in the headset

You play Breach Range in a VR headset. The Play copy says you play in a VR headset, and that the game runs on the headset itself, and also on a headset linked to a computer.

In the headset, you see the range directly and take your place on it. The interaction stays focused: aim and fire, then read the range again. The session is the same on both setups — headset alone or headset linked to a computer — with hits adding to a score for the drill and the result saved at the end.

Who it suits

Breach Range suits people who want a short, focused shooter in VR where the whole session happens on one range.

It suits you if you:

  • Like shooting range play in VR. You want to take your place on a range, aim and fire, and read the range again as the drill runs.
  • Prefer a contained session over a large map. You like that the drill is the session and the breach happens on this range for the whole drill, so you can stay in one place and track it.
  • Want a clear score to return to. You like that hits add to a score for the drill and the result is saved after the drill.
  • Want something simple to start. You get a range, a breach drill, and a score — you can understand it from the first drill without learning many controls.
  • Like a headset-native game that also works linked to a computer. You play in a VR headset either way, and the session is the same on both.

It is also easy to explain to someone sharing a headset. The idea takes a sentence: shoot a breach drill on a range, inside a VR headset. The range is the space you can see, the drill is the session, and hits add to your score.

What you need to play

You need a VR headset. The Play description states you play in a VR headset, and the game runs on the headset itself, and also on a headset linked to a computer.

The brief lists the targets as Meta Quest, Android XR and Web, with a hosted web build that has passed a smoke check. Packages are ready for Quest and Android XR — a signed Quest APK and a signed Android XR AAB — pending store accounts. The web build uses a Godot Web template. All of this is still in development and not yet submitted to stores.

Coming soon — how to hear when it is ready

Breach Range is coming soon. It has not been released or submitted to stores yet, so there is no price, release date, or store rating to share.

If you want to know when it is ready, head to Breach Range and use the notify option on the product page. That is where updates will appear first.

To recap: Breach Range is an action shooter for a VR headset. You take your place on a shooting range and shoot a breach drill. The range is the space you can see and the space you play in. Aim and fire, then read the range again — the drill is the session, and the breach happens here on this range for the length of that drill. Hits add to a score for the drill, your score records how the drill went, and when it ends the result is saved. The game runs on the headset itself, and also on a headset linked to a computer. It comes from aeternusvita.io — a range, a breach drill, and a score you can return to.
