Vaultrunner 6DOF: a phone tunnel shooter through a sealed reactor
What Vaultrunner 6DOF is, how its 6DOF flight works and who the five-minute reactor run suits.

“What Vaultrunner 6DOF is, how its 6DOF flight works and who the five-minute reactor run suits.”
Vaultrunner 6DOF is a tunnel shooter you play on your phone screen. You sit in the cockpit, fly in zero gravity through a sealed reactor, and the run asks you to destroy three power cores in under five minutes.
There is no headset mode. The view stays on the flat phone screen and you steer with an on-screen thumb stick. It is coming soon on aeternusvita.io. Visit Vaultrunner 6DOF to get notified when it is ready. This guide explains what it is, how the flight works and who it tends to suit, using only the official brief and Play copy.
What Vaultrunner 6DOF is
The short description says it plainly: fly a phone fighter through a sealed reactor and destroy three cores.
Vaultrunner 6DOF is a tunnel shooter on your phone. You play on the flat screen. The ship can slide, climb and turn inside the tunnel, and the cockpit view puts you at the nose of the fighter as the walls pass by.
The game is made by aeternusvita.io. The brief lists it under phone, with a hosted web build that has passed a desktop smoke test, plus a Chrome extension build and an iPhone target that needs a Capacitor wrapper. Nothing has been submitted to a store for this title and the site lists it as coming soon. There is no price, release date, rating or review to quote.
The long description sets the scene. You fly from the cockpit, in zero gravity, through a sealed reactor complex. Three power cores sit in the complex. The run asks you to destroy them in under five minutes. Drone craft use the same tunnels.
What 6DOF means here
The letters 6DOF stand for six degrees of freedom. In Vaultrunner 6DOF that means free 3D movement with a thumb stick, with no headset.
The ship can slide sideways, climb and descend, and turn inside the tunnel. It is not locked to a rail where you only steer left and right. You can move on all six axes while you fly forward, which is why the Play copy says that free movement is the six degrees of freedom in the name.
Zero gravity shapes the feel. Push the stick and the fighter slides that way until you steer it back. The cockpit view keeps the motion readable as the walls move past you.
There is no headset mode. The brief is explicit. You play on the flat screen and the thumb stick is how you steer. The Chrome Web Store edition also offers keyboard and mouse, covered below, but the phone way to play is thumb on the stick.
The reactor and the cockpit view
You fly from the cockpit through a sealed reactor complex. This is not open sky. It is an enclosed set of corridors and chambers where the walls stay close and the route turns.
You look forward down the tunnel from inside the fighter. The reactor frames the flight, and the three power cores sit inside that complex. The brief does not name separate levels or maps, so this guide stays with the one sealed reactor, three cores and drone craft in the same tunnels.
That enclosed setting shapes how you fly. You manage your line, watch the walls, and keep an approach that lets you reach each core. Because the view stays on the phone screen, you track the space ahead and steer with small adjustments.
The five-minute run
Every run has the same brief: destroy three power cores in under five minutes.
The Play copy repeats that clock in the long description and in the feature list. The task is to keep the fighter moving, reach each core and finish inside that time. The brief does not describe scoring or extra objectives, so the clock and the three cores are the only objectives this guide can state.
In practice the run is short and focused. You start in the tunnel, fly through the complex and destroy each core while the clock runs. The brief does not set the order or the weapon beyond the verb destroy, so this guide keeps to what is on disk.
If you miss a turn or spend time correcting a slide, the clock keeps going. Keep a clean line and you stay inside the five minutes.
Drone craft in the tunnels
The tunnels are not empty. Drone craft use the same corridors as you do.
The Play copy lists drone craft in the tunnels as a feature, and the Chrome Web Store edition adds that you take out the drone defences as you fly. The brief does not name drone types or health, so this guide does not invent them.
They affect how you approach a core. You hold a line, adjust for a drone, and keep forward progress. With free 3D movement you can slide to pass or climb to clear, rather than only turning left and right.
How you steer: phone and Chrome tab
On your phone, you play on the flat screen and steer with an on-screen thumb stick. The view stays on the phone screen.
The Chrome Web Store edition runs offline in its own Chrome tab. The brief describes it as a fast sci-fi shooter from aeternusvita.io that runs offline in its own tab, with no accounts, ads or analytics. That edition gives you two options: keyboard and mouse, or on-screen touch controls.
For keyboard and mouse, the controls are W, A, S and D to move, plus vertical thrust and roll keys, shown on the start screen. The brief does not name the exact thrust or roll keys, so this guide keeps to that. For touch, you use on-screen controls as on the phone.
In both cases the flight stays zero gravity with free 3D movement and the cockpit view is the same. The difference is the input.
Who it suits
Vaultrunner 6DOF suits you if you like short, focused arcade runs you can play on your phone without a headset.
It suits you if you enjoy cockpit flight. You sit at the nose, read the tunnel ahead and steer with the thumb stick. If you like sliding and turning freely rather than following a fixed rail, the six degrees of freedom here will make sense quickly.
It suits you if you like a clear objective and a clock. Three power cores, five minutes, drone craft in the corridors. The brief does not describe difficulty settings, so take the run as a single timed task.
It also suits Chrome. The tab edition lets you use W, A, S and D plus vertical thrust and roll, shown on the start screen, and runs offline with no accounts or ads listed.
For younger players, the brief does not set an age rating. A parent should decide whether the cockpit action fits their child.
Coming soon: how to get notified
Vaultrunner 6DOF is listed as coming soon at https://www.aeternusvita.io/en/products/vaultrunner-6dof. That is the only availability wording the brief supports. There is no release date, price, pre-order, rating or review to quote, and nothing has been submitted to a store for release as an iPhone or Play app.
To keep up, open Vaultrunner 6DOF on aeternusvita.io and use the notify option on the product page.
When you do fly, keep the fighter moving, reach each core and finish inside the five minutes. Vaultrunner 6DOF is from aeternusvita.io.
